Asia Oasis hosts 3–4 major events each year across South Australia and Victoria. Below is a clear guide to common questions about our vendor selection process.

The entire vendor selection process takes approximately three months from EOI submission to contract signing, allowing at least two months for all confirmed vendors to prepare thoroughly for the event.

𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐚, 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞?

𝐴𝑠𝑖𝑎 𝑆𝑡𝑟𝑒𝑒𝑡 𝐹𝑜𝑜𝑑 𝐹𝑒𝑠𝑡𝑖𝑣𝑎𝑙 𝐵𝑦 𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝑆𝑒𝑎

Typically held in summer, around mid-February, for 4 to 10 days at Glenelg Foreshore, one of the top tourist destinations in South Australia.

𝐶𝑜𝑙𝑜𝑢𝑟𝑠 𝑜𝑓 𝐴𝑠𝑖𝑎

Usually occurs during the last week of the Adelaide Fringe, which is approximately the third week of March. This event lasts for 3 to 4 days and is located in the heart of Rundle Mall, Adelaide.

𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐚, 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞?

𝐴𝑠𝑖𝑎 𝑆𝑡𝑟𝑒𝑒𝑡 𝐹𝑜𝑜𝑑 𝐹𝑒𝑠𝑡𝑖𝑣𝑎𝑙 𝐵𝑦 𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝑌𝑎𝑟𝑟𝑎

Usually held in December, lasting from 4 to 10 days at Alexandra Gardens, Melbourne.

𝐴𝑠𝑖𝑎 𝑆𝑡𝑟𝑒𝑒𝑡 𝐹𝑜𝑜𝑑 𝐹𝑒𝑠𝑡𝑖𝑣𝑎𝑙 𝑀𝑒𝑒𝑡𝑠 𝑊𝑖𝑛𝑡𝑒𝑟 (𝑁𝑒𝑤 𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑛𝑡)

This new initiative is anticipated to commence in August 2026 and thereafter. It will be held at Victoria Market.

𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐨 𝐁𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐚 𝐕𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐫

Vendor applications open 5 to 9 months before each event. No applications will be accepted within 3 months of any event. Announcements will appear on Asia Oasis website and social media channels. To apply, complete the application form and pay the application fee.

𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐈𝐬 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐧 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐅𝐞𝐞?

The fee helps cover the administrative work required to review each application. If you are not shortlisted, the fee is fully refunded. If you are shortlisted but choose to withdraw before the cut-off date, the fee is also fully refunded.

Asia Oasis is highly selective. Successful vendors generally share these qualities:

All shortlisted applicants must participate in a Tasting Session, where you present all proposed dishes for evaluation.

Dishes are assessed on:

. Authenticity

. Tradition

. Presentation

𝑃𝑙𝑒𝑎𝑠𝑒 𝑛𝑜𝑡𝑒: highly rated dishes may not pass if operational management is assessed as inadequate.
