You can truly see the passion and dedication the organisers have poured into every detail of this event. Almost everything is handcrafted: from the beautiful lanterns and bamboo tipis to the tiki bars and huts, creating a unique and authentic atmosphere. Despite being bustling with activity, the festival still feels warm and welcoming. We attended two of the four days, and my whole family thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

The event organisers did an excellent job bringing this festival to life. We enjoyed the amazing food, vibrant atmosphere, beautiful sunsets, refreshing ocean breeze, exciting lion dance performances, and stunning views beneath the Glenelg Ferris Wheel. Although many of the food stalls had long queues, everything was well organised and moved surprisingly quickly. The entire experience was enjoyable from start to finish, and we cannot wait for the next Asia Oasis Festival.

A vibrant celebration of flavour and culture at the inaugural Colours of Asia festival, lighting up Queen Victoria Market, Melbourne from 4-6 September 2026.

Immerse yourself in the vibrant flavours and cultures at the “Colours of Asia – The Garden of Wonders” from 13–22 November 2026, Alexandra Gardens, Melbourne. More than 30 carefully selected vendors, offering over 200 genuine dishes that reflect Asia’s rich culinary traditions.

Asia Street Festival By the Sea is back at Glenelg Foreshore for 10 summer days of smoky grills, noodles, dumplings, seafood, sugarcane and coconut ice cream.

Authencity Without Compromise

Asia Oasis was established with an audacious vision: to answer the ultimate question, “How can one best experience authentic Asian cultures without traveling to Asia?” Our response has been to create genuine cultural oases that transport visitors from Australian city centres directly into the heart of Asia’s vibrant traditions.
