Experience the beauty and cultural heritage of Vietnamese traditional dance with this vibrant community dance group, featuring performers in elegant traditional Vietnamese costumes, accompanied by iconic conical hats (nón lá) and colourful fans. With a 10-member group and a strong history of performing at multicultural events across Australia, the group has brought Vietnamese culture to life at celebrations including Odyssea House, Powerhouse Museum, Fairfield Hospital, the 50 Years of Vietnamese Settlement celebrations, Lunar New Year events, and celebrations with Korean and Filipino communities.
More than a dance group, this is a community activity dedicated to keeping members active while sharing and preserving Vietnamese culture and multicultural heritage in Australia. While the group has more than six members, interstate travel can be challenging for some performers, so six dancers will represent the group at Asia Oasis this year, showcasing the grace, colour and traditions of Vietnam through captivating dance performances.
