Chinese Bamboo Flute Artist/Musician and Cultural Presenter.
Stephanie Chen is an acclaimed Chinese bamboo flute (dizi) performer whose music bridges Eastern tradition and Western innovation. Based in Australia, she has appeared at major venues including Federation Square, The Edge, and Town Halls across Adelaide, Ballarat, Bendigo, and Melbourne.
Stephanie began her musical journey in China and further upgraded her skills at the prestigious Central Conservatory of Music (中央音乐学院), where she also gave a special performance at the Conservatory in Beijing, showcasing her artistry on an international stage. In addition to the dizi, she performs on Hulusi, Bawu, Xiao, and has recently added Chinese drumming to her dynamic repertoire. As a passionate cultural presenter, she brings live demonstrations and interactive programs to schools across Victoria, inspiring young audiences to explore Chinese music and culture.
Beyond this festival, Stephanie maintains an ongoing musical partnership with award-winning pianist and composer Warren Wills. Together they are currently performing multiple concerts and recording a new album, Book of Mandarin, a fusion of East and West, creating fresh soundscapes that celebrate cultural harmony and musical discovery.
