Kala Nritya is a vibrant Melbourne-based Jaipong dance troupe celebrating the richness, colour and energy of Indonesian-inspired dance. Our performance style brings together traditional influences and contemporary choreography, creating dynamic pieces that are expressive, engaging and full of character. We love exploring the diversity of Indonesian culture while giving our performances a fresh, modern edge that connects with audiences of all backgrounds. More recently, we have added a touch of Balinese flair to our choreography, incorporating its distinctive movement, expression and energy into our evolving style. Above all, Kala Nritya is about culture, connection and the joy of performing together.
