If you haven’t kicked off 2023 with a trip to Thailand, Bali, or Vietnam, this three-day Asia Street Food festival from 17 – 19 February, right in the heart of Glenelg, will definitely be your next best experience. Hosted by Asia Oasis, with flavourful feasts from more than ten Asian countries served from traditional Balinese huts, surrounded by colourful Hoi An lanterns and entertainment, including rich cultural performing arts, this is one of the most anticipated food festivals of early 2023.
Following the success of Asia Street Food Festival in December 2022 at Pinky Flat – Adelaide, Asia Oasis once again invites you to savour and experience dishes that people claim they can’t live without, from salivating Lechon Liempo (roasted pork), bold and fragrant Laksa, to fresh seafood dishes that are just perfect for the ocean backdrop. Most importantly, don’t forget to save room for delicious summer drinks brought to you by Tropical Tea House, where you can get your hands on iced cold sugarcane juice, Japanese roasted mango green tea or spoil your taste buds with fresh tropical fruits that just hit differently.
Beyond the food and beverages selection, there will be live performing arts and music for those who search for connection with traditions and cultures, sing along and dance away while waiting for your orders, or simply just want to make the good vibe better.
Between sunset till late, the colourful Hoi An lanterns will be lit up, boasting a charming and magical ambience – a gorgeous transition into the night. Well, for those who want to skip Valentine’s Day due to its overpriced bookings and chaos, Asia Street Food festival offers a perfect setting full of deliciousness and just as romantic. The vibrant colours set out to bring pure nostalgia and magic, so get your friends and loved ones together, capture the moments because well, we might not be able to relive the same moment twice. Asia Street Food festival is more than just an outdoor event. It is a celebration of shared passion for food, cultures and traditions through distinctive cuisines made from recipes that passed down for generations. It is a celebration of community, togetherness and diversity. At the end of the day, the festival is all about having fun, eating well, and making memories. So, mark the dates in your calendar, welcome to Asia Oasis Street Food Festival, running from 17 – 19 February 2023, at Glenelg Foreshore – Jimmy Melrose Park. See you there.
